THE EVOLUTION OF P.R.E.F.A.B.

We’ve known each other for at least 4 years, and been playing together in various combinations for a couple of years at least, significantly more if you add all the playing together! We’d always talked about playing in a band together, but never really got around to it.

Simeon was in Orangeville for about a year and a half, Joe lived in Casselman, which made seeing him rare.  Nick was involved in a band based out of Montreal, Sally’s Back.  But at the end of the summer of 2004, Joe had moved back home, Simeon was back from Orangeville and Sally’s Back had broken up. Here was the opportunity!

In September, we actually did what we’d always said that we wanted to do: we all got together and officially started a band. We ran through a few names for a while, the predominant one was looking like “Loose Change”. 

We’re having a blast learning stuff from each other, playing music, worshipping God and generally having fun and hanging out together. We like to go skating on the canal (in the winter of course!) and watch movies and MXC, hang out at Montanas, or Wendy’s or really just about anywhere were we can be together and be ourselves and not get in trouble for it! Setting up pool tables is another favorite activity, as well as ditching cars! (not fun, but interesting!)

We’re enjoying seeing where a band goes...we like what we do, and thank God that we can do it.
